Description

Delicious and festive treats perfect for impressing your loved one this Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

2 large eggs

½ cup butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Allow the treats to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute almond or coconut flour. You can also try using dark chocolate chips for added richness.
