Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 large eggs
½ cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the treats to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute almond or coconut flour. You can also try using dark chocolate chips for added richness.
