Description

Delightful bites bursting with flavor, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Ground Beef (or ground turkey for lighter option)

8 oz Cream Cheese

1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Pepper Jack)

1/2 cup Jalapeños (fresh or pickled)

1 packet Taco Seasoning

1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs

1 Egg (or flax egg for vegan option)

2 tbsp Olive Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if you choose to bake. If frying, heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cream cheese, shredded cheese, diced jalapeños, and taco seasoning. Mix until evenly distributed.
  3. Take a golf ball-sized amount of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all mixture is shaped.
  4. For frying, coat each ball in panko breadcrumbs and carefully place in the hot oil, cooking in batches for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. For baking, place on a parchment-lined sheet and brush with olive oil, baking for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Pair with dipping sauces like salsa or guacamole.

Notes

For a healthier version, opt for baking instead of frying and use low-fat cheese.
