Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add maple syrup, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture; beat until combined.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
