Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add maple syrup, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture; beat until combined.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over cooled cookies and let set before enjoying.
