Description

Ingredients

Fresh White Fish (Cod, Haddock, or Tilapia)

All-Purpose Flour

Cornstarch

Baking Powder

Buttermilk

Seasonings (Salt, Pepper, Paprika, Garlic Powder)

Vegetable Oil

Burger Buns

Toppings (Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the fish by patting the fillets dry and cutting them into sandwich-sized portions.
  2. Marinate the fish in buttermilk for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and seasonings in a bowl.
  4. Heat about an inch of oil in a deep pot or frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Coat the fish in the flour mixture evenly.
  6. Fry the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  7. Drain the fish on paper towels and assemble the sandwich with buns and toppings.

Notes

Ensure fish is at room temperature before frying for an even cook. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
