Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cherry Mixture: Cook cherries with amaretto and sugar over medium heat for 5 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Whip the Cream: Beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Mix the Mascarpone: Combine mascarpone, vanilla, and sugar, then fold in whipped cream.
  4. Layer the Components: Dip ladyfingers in cherry juice and layer in a dish, alternating with mascarpone and cherry mixture.
  5. Repeat the Layers: Create another layer with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. Serve: Dust with cocoa powder or top with dark chocolate shavings before serving.
